Founders Background
Jerry Totten, Founder of the Bowehouse Project, LLC is a native of
Caswell County. He is a graduate of Bartlett Yancy High School. He is a
graduate of North Carolina Central University where he majored in
Criminal Justice. He also has taken additional graduate course at North
Carolina Central University. Jerry has many decades of community
volunteer service and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Jerry
has experience working with the human services population and
underserved populations as well as thirty plus years working for United
Parcel Services.

Jerry’s wife Crystal is co-founder of the Bowehouse Project LLC. She is a
graduate of Shaw University where she majored in Public
Administration. She also holds a Master of Healthcare Administration
degree from the University of Phoenix. Crystal has over twenty years of
state service where she has worked with special populations within the
human service extent. In addition, she has former volunteer experience
as a Long-Term Care Residence Advocate, Community Support
Professional, Social Work Field, and with the Triangle Heart
Association-Women’s Health.
